Install Brio LiveChat on Shopify

Brio adds the chat to your store with one small theme snippet. It takes about three minutes and works with any theme. Available on Pro, Team and Business plans.

Download the snippet

Download brio-livechat-shopify.zip from the Downloads page and unzip it.

Open the code editor

In Shopify admin go to Online Store, Themes. On your live theme click the three dots, then Edit code.

Add the snippet

In Snippets click Add a new snippet and name it brio-livechat. Paste in brio-livechat.liquid, replace bl_YOUR_SITE_KEY with your site key and save.

Show it on every page

Open layout/theme.liquid and add {% render ‘brio-livechat’ %} just above the closing body tag. Save, and the chat appears within a minute.

Quick alternative

Prefer not to add a snippet file? Paste this code into layout/theme.liquid just above the closing body tag instead.

Troubleshooting

If the chat button covers your Add to cart bar on phones, move the chat button to the left in Settings, then Chat widget.
